DAY 01 Arrive in
Yangon
Arrive in Yangon. Meet / assist
at the airport and transfer to the hotel.
Lunch at hotel. Then visit the
National Museum, Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda's 70m long reclining
Buddha and Myanmar’s holiest monument, and the Shwedagon Pagoda
with its gold Covered stupa.
Dinner and overnight in
Yangon.
DAY 02 Yangon /
NyaungOo-Bagan by flight
Breakfast at hotel.
After breakfast transfer to
Yangon's Mingaladon Airport for the flight to Bagan(Nyaung
Oo).
On arrival, meet / assist at the
airport and transfer to the hotel.
En route sightseeing visit
Shwezigon Pagoda, Wetkyi-In Gubyaukgyi and Htilominlo Temple
noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sandstone
decorations.
Lunch at hotel.
DAY 03 Bagan
Breakfast at hotel.
After breakfast visit the
colorful Nyaung Oo market before proceeding to Myinkaba and on
the way back, look into the production process of lacquer ware,
one of the best – known Myanmar handicrafts in one of the local
family workshops.
Lunch at hotel
After lunch visit the countryside
village of Minnanthu, the least visited are in Bagan with
temples such as Payathonzu.
Then we board to a local boat for
a slow cruise down the Ayeyarwaddy before sunset.
Transfer to hotel for dinner and
overnight at hotel.
DAY 04 Bagan / Mandalay by
flight
Breakfast at hotel.
After breakfast, transfer to
Nyaung Oo Airport for the flight to Mandalay.
On arrival, meet / assist at the
airport and transfer to the hotel.
En route sightseeing tour of
Mandalay, Myanmar’s cultural capital features Mahamuni Pagoda,
famous for its venerable statue of Buddha covered with gold
leaf.
Then tour of traditional
workshops includes crafts such as woodcarving, marble masonry,
Kalaga tapestry and gold leaf making.
Lunch
at hotel
Afternoon visit the Kuthodaw
Pagoda with its 729 marble stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures
and Shwenandaw Monastery, noted for its exquisite
woodcarving.
Enjoy the sunset from Mandalay
Hill.
Dinner and overnight at
hotel
DAY 05 Mandalay / Amarapura
/ Ava / Sagaing / Mandalay
Breakfast at hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel,
depart for full day trip to the former capitals of Amarapua,
Ava and Sagaing. The day begins with a visit to the 18th
century capital, Amarapura. Attend the daily meal of over a
thousand monks at the country’s largest monastery,
Mahagandayon. And visit a silk weaving workshop, the craft
specialty of Amarapura.
Lunch at hotel.
After lunch cross the bridge over
the Irrawaddy River and continue to Sagaing.
Finish the day with a walk at
sunset over the 200 year-old U-Bein Bridge, constructed
entirely from teak.
Dinner and Overnight in
Mandalay.Stop at the wooden Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery on the way.
Board a private motor boat to head out into Inle Lake, one of
Myanmar’s most spectacular sights.
After lunch, visit the Nga Hpe
Chaung (Jumping Cats) Monastery and its Shan Buddha’s and
Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda the lakes main sanctuary. If the time
allows we go for an improvised walk through one of the
villages.
Dinner and overnight on Inle
Lake.
DAY 07 In Dein / Inle Lake /
Heho / Yangon by flight
Breakfast at hotel.
After breakfast visit Dein in the
south of the lake by motorboat. From the middle of the lake,
continue down a small canal leading to the village of In Dein,
a recently opened area in Shan State.
Lunch at local
restaurant.
Continue visits of the lake by
boat and in the afternoon, transfer to Heho Airport for flight
back to Yangon.
On arrival meet / assist at the
airport and transfer to hotel.
Dinner and overnight in
Yangon
DAY 08
Depart Yangon
Breakfast at hotel.
After breakfast finish the tour
with a visit to downtown Yangon with its faded colonial
atmosphere, Sule Pagoda, Mahabandoola Park, India town and
bustling Chinatown.
Afternoon transferring to
Mingaladon Airport for onward flight.
