Day
01 Group report at
the Bandaranaike International Airport for departure to
Italy.
Group met by the Senior Company
Executive at the departure lounge.
Day
02 Arrive in
Italy.
Visit the shrine of Rosa Mystica.
In the Spring of 1947,whilst praying in the Chapel of the local
hospital in Montichiari, nurse Pierina Gilli had an
unforgettable experience.
Mary, the Mother of God, appeared
to her in a wonderful vision and magnificent light, as the
exalted Lady, dressed in mauve, very sad and with tears in Her
eyes. Pierina noticed that Her heart was pierced by three
swords. Our Lady asked for Prayer, Sacrifice and Penance. These
were Her only words.
Afterwards transfer to
Padua.
Transfer to the hotel for dinner
and overnight stay.

hotel. Visit Padua. Lunch at a restaurant.

04 Breakfast at
hotel. Visit St Clare of Assisi.
Assisi, is a town in Italy in the
province of Perugia, Italy, in the Umbria region,
on the western flank of Mt.
Subasio. It is the birthplace of St. Francis, who founded the
Franciscan religious order in the town in 1208, and St. Clare
(Chiara d'Offreducci), the founder of the Poor Clares. Saint
Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows of the 19th century was also
born in Assisi. Also visit the church of St Peregrine Laziosi
the patron Saint of cancer sufferers and protector against
tumorous illnesses.
Also lunch at Assisi and tarvel
to Loreto. Visit the Shrine of Loreto.
Dinner and overnight in
Loreto.
Day
05 Breakfast at
hotel. Depart to Loreto. Afterwards visit Manoppello and
Lanciano.
Visit the shrine the Sanctuary of
Volto Santo (Secret Face) in Manoppello -
according to many people it is
the only and real image of Christ made by no human
being. Therefore its origin would
be divine.
Lunch at Lanciano.
visit the Church of the
Eucharistic Miracle in Lanciano. For over Twelve Centuries
Lanciano has contained the first and greatest Eucharistic
Miracle of the Catholic Church. This wondrous event took place
in the 8th Century A.D. in the little church of St. Legontian,
as a divine response to a Basillian monk’s doubt about Jesus’
real presence in the Eucharist. During Holy Mass, after the
two-fold consecration, the host was changed into live
Flesh and the wine was changed into live Blood, which was
coagulated into five globules, irregular and differing in
shape and size.
After lunch depart to San
Giovanni Rotondo, Foggia.

06 Breakfast at
hotel. Visit the Shrine of Padre Pio. Padre Pio was born of
simple, hardworking farming people on 25th May 1887. He was
tutored privately until his entry into the Capuchin Friars at
the age of 15. Of feeble health but strong will, he completed
the required studies and was ordained a Priest in 1910. On 20th
September 1918, the five wounds of our Lord’s Passion appeared
on his body making him the first stigmatized priest in
the history of the Church. Countless numbers were attracted to
his confessional and many more received his Saintly and
Spiritual guidance through correspondence.
Lunch and thereafter visit the
Grotto of Michael the Archangel in Monte Angelo. It is the
oldest shrine in Western Europe dedicated to the
archangel Michael and has been an important pilgrimage site
since the middle ages. The historic site and its environs are
protected by the Parco Nazionale del Gargano.
Afterwards travel to Rome.
Overnight stay at the hotel. (Dinner will not be provided on
this day).
Day
07 Breakfast at
hotel. General audience with the His Holiness Pope
Francis (Subject to The Holy Father been in Rome). After
audience lunch at a restaurant. After lunch visit the Holy
Steps , Mary Major, John the Lateran , St Paul out side the
walls.
Holy Steps - climbed by Jesus
Christ on the day of his Passion (as tradition says, original stairs
brought over from Jerusalem). Basilica of St. Mary Major – called also as
Our Lady of the Snows, this shrine contains the 1500 year old
miraculous portrait of Our Lady, known as “Salus Populi Romani”this
shrine contains the relics of the
Holy Manger, in
which the Chid Jesus was placed after birth.
Basilica of St. John in
Lateran- This is the Cathedral Church of Rome it
contains the wooden
table that was used as an alter by St. Peter and the
other
early Popes, and it is now
encased in an alter of marble,with the original wood
still visible. Basilica San Paul outside the Walls – This
shrine as built over St. Paul’s tomb, located in the centre of
the apse and beneath a marble slab dating from the 04th
century.

08 Breakfast at
hotel. Visit the Vatican.
Vatican City – the world’s
capital of Catholicism,is the world’s smallest state. It
occupies 43 ha(106 acres) within high walls watched over
by the Vatican Swiss guard. It was the site where St Peter was
martyred (AD 64) and burie and it became the residence of the
Popes who succeeded him.(Lunch will not be provided on this
day). Afterwards
trasfer to the airport for the deaprture
flight.
